ABOUT

Our Story
Chances are if you are visiting our website, you'll have found us after hearing a talk or meeting Mitch Bridgewater. Mitch was a contestant of series eight of the BBCs Great British Sewing Bee. Since appearing on the Sewing Bee, Mitch travels the country giving talks about his time on the show, appears at craft shows and fairs, writing and consulting for different publications, sporadically creating crafting content online and passionately advocating for the social and mental health benefits of crafts and generally making things with your hands.

Whilst Mitch has been the most public and vocal Bridgewater, he comes from a very creative family - so if you've seen a talk and didn't enjoy it you can take it up with them! The family work together running a variety of crafting workshops throughout the year and make and sell handcrafted goods. Whether it is our popular winter wreath making workshops or our new accessible crafting boxes, we are passionate about getting people making things.

Bridgewater Creative is a place for us to pop any information about our creative endeavours and for us to offer some of the things we make and have put together for you to make yourselves! It's a common story when we go around the country that people love to make things but sometime don't know where to start of are overwhelmed by the amount of equipment available to purchase, this is where we really want to help because crafting is for everyone and the opportunity to enjoy making something yourself should be accessible. Everything we put together is lovingly curated by hand by a member of the family.
